The Courageous Steps Project donates $3,000 to local programs helping young children with challenges; Archer announces technology expansion at Green House Nursery School

On Friday June 12th, Founder Connor Archer donated money raised from the Courageous Steps fundraiser to 2 organizations that benefit young children with challenges in our community. 

The majority of the money went to the Green House Nursery School once again in Milford to support their program. Founder Connor Archer, handed off a check of $2,000 to director Lynn Faerber, who was speechless once again about the big donation. 

Archer also announced a big technology expansion that will be occurring at the Green House Nursery School this summer. This includes making a new website, the purchase of new iPads for staff to use with the children for speech & language purposes along with activities in the classroom. There are other plans with the technology expansion as well. The project will cost a large sum of money, but will be done throughout the next few years, and Archer is looking for any substantial donations to the project if possible. 

After Archer's big announcement at the Green House, he went over to the RSU #34 Special Education office at Leonard Middle School, and delivered a check for $1,000 to director Kimm Kenniston, who was not expecting the donation. Part of last year's money, helped buy an iPad for a little girl learning how to speak. Kenniston says she already has plenty of ideas for the use of the money for next year. 

The Courageous Steps Project has a few more donations to make with some left over money from this year's Courageous Steps fundraiser. That will be announced on a separate date in the coming weeks.
