Message from founder & CEO Connor Archer

Tonight, I am proud to announce this change to our 4th annual walk-run event for Sunday May 21st, 2017. From this date forward, the Courageous Steps Walk-Run will be named after our friend Dylan McInnis. Dylan, an individual who has touched so many in our community, continues to remind us all of the steps of courage he took. A sincere thanks goes to Dylan's family for accepting our proposal to rename our event, and we look forward to honoring Dylan, and his family, at this year's event. If anyone has any questions about this change, please feel free to email me at: connor.archer@thecourageousstepsproject.org.

As you can suspect, founder & CEO Connor Archer, has been busy the past couple of weeks, making sure everything is flowing smoothly with 2017 so far.

The Courageous Steps Project's founder & CEO visited the Tremont Consolidated School, in Tremont, which is associated with the Mount Desert Island Administrative School District.

Archer was the main keynote speaker for their annual Special Needs Awareness Fair, which is hosted by the Tremont Consolidated School's Parent Teacher Organization.

Archer's words of wisdom, brought educators and students to tears of inspiration, as he talks about the significance of people in his life, and in The Courageous Steps Project. Board member, Jessica Archer, joined Connor in the keynote presentation.

During that day, Connor also released the organization's ninth 'One Word' Challenge production. You can view that here: https://youtu.be/5_xbrgETmkk.

If you know of an organization that is looking at inviting Connor to be your keynote speaker, please visit our speaking engagements page to learn more on how you can bring Connor to your event.

The Courageous Steps Project will be hosting it's first Unified Basketball tournament, inviting schools from surrounding regions to attend the event.

The event, presented by Beal College so far, will be organized by board members & volunteers, to help grow the Wishlist Initiative, which was launched back in 2016. The Courageous Steps Wishlist Initiative, helps classroom teachers in Maine, receive sensory learning equipment that can be used in the classroom.

This just one of many endeavors that The Courageous Steps Project has coming in early 2017, to strengthen it's charitable purposes for the future of the organization.

According to founder & CEO Connor Archer, sponsorships are starting to come in for the year, and our finances are the best they have been since 2014. Archer has also indicated that we are on the right track with expanding our initiatives.

Stay tuned to our facebook for upcoming events that we have. If you haven't gotten a chance to like our facebook page, please do so, as you will access to find out more information about upcoming events that we have.
