Donations used to buy more school suppliesAfter the Courageous Steps Back to School Drive, founder Connor Archer immediately went down to Staples in Bangor, ME, and purchased $30 worth of supplies, which would normally be over $60. The people at Staples were so kind that they gave Archer a discount on some of the school supplies so that way he could get more supplies for the schools. "We bought 50 wide ruled subject notebooks for less than $15, 15 folders for $3, 25 boxes of pencils for about $13, and pencil sharpeners.

Recently, The Courageous Steps Project has counted up the registration forms from the first fundraiser held by the Courageous Steps Project. So successful, that we had over 100 registration forms, and many other donations from all across the State of Maine. Your generous donation, has allowed 2 very important programs in our area, to purchase that one necessary item, to help that individual learn the specific skills.
With donations from local businesses too, the Courageous Steps Project, has evolved into something that will continue for the years to come. This summer, the Courageous Steps Project, has re-painted the Green House Nursery School front entrance, and has re-vamped some of the gardens, which will continue through next year. The Courageous Steps Project will be beginning the process of technology upgrades beginning in 2015, due to the funds. Coming up in the end of August, will be the Courageous Steps Project Back to School Drive. The Courageous Steps Project will be hosting this fundraiser on Sunday August 24, 2014 at Old Town High School. Click this link to go to the Courageous Steps Project's Back to School Drive webpage. As the 2014-2015 school year approaches, the Courageous Steps Project will be hosting a back to school drive benefiting all RSU #34, RSU #26 schools, including the Lewis Libby School in Milford, ME. Our goal is to collect over $1,000 in school supplies to give towards the schools. All the supplies will be divided equally for all schools benefited from this fundraiser.
The fundraiser will be on Sunday August 24, 2014, starting at 11am to about 4pm at Old Town High School.
