Dedication of the Courageous Steps Project
A Message from Founder, Chairman, and CEO Connor Jacob Archer
I dedicate the Courageous Steps Project to this individual. This individual helped me for 7 years learning those necessary skills that were so crucial to my development. Bob Faerber was a crucial key to my development in so many ways by helping me to become independent in the community to teaching me how to be safe and advocate for my needs. He and I went to explore many places in the Bangor area. We had many adventures together throughout our 7 years together. In so many ways, it was as if Bob was with me as I planned and organized the Courageous Steps Walk/Run. There were so many times that I entered a business or was just out in the community and I recalled a moment I had with Bob during those seven years. It was almost as if he knew all those years that he was helping me to prepare to do all of this on my own one day. I am so grateful for having Bob as my community guide, my mentor and best friend for seven critical years of my childhood. Bob was a former UMAINE Police officer, a Green House Nursery School Staff member, and a tremendous positive influence in our community. He passed away in late December of 2011. He is remembered for his contributions to our community, and the impact he has made with the Courageous Steps Project so far.
Thank You Bob!
