Less than 1 month away!!!

We are less than 1 month away from the 2nd Annual Courageous Steps fundraiser. Darlings Ice Cream for a Cause truck will be coming to this year's Courageous Steps from 11am to 2pm. Along with registering for the event, bring some extra money to donate. All the money raised from the Ice Cream truck will go to local programs that help young children with challenges.

We will also have other activities including a foul shooting contest, and possibly a home-run derby. We will also have arts & crafts along with kiddie games like last year.

This year, before the mile walk & run, Old Town High School juniors John Kenneway, Nathan Hallowell, and Keegan Feero, will be playing our national anthem.

The 2nd annual Courageous Steps fundraiser, will be held on Sunday May 17th at Old Town High School's Victory Field Complex. Registration will begin at 11am. The mile fun walk will be at 12:30pm. The mile fun run will be at 1:30pm. Our foul shooting contest & our home-run derby will be going on during the entire event.

Courageous Steps Back to School Drive 2015 planning stages beginning in late May

Picture
The Courageous Steps Project, will begin planning it's second annual back to school drive in late May. Last year's back to school drive, was held at Old Town High School on Sunday August 24th, 2014.

This year, we are hoping that the back to school drive can be held at the Old Town Orono YMCA in late July. The date has been yet determined, and will be determined in early May.

We had a fair turnout last year, for it being a Sunday in late August. This year, we are asking for these donations for the back to school drive to begin in late May, after Courageous Steps 2015.

We encourage people to come out and donate money for supplies to be bought, or for you to bring a bag of supplies for those children.

If you are interested in volunteering at the back to school drive, please fill out the volunteering form provided.

If you have any questions about the Courageous Steps Project's Back to School Drive, please contact Connor Archer at: [email protected].

Sponsors for Courageous Steps 2015

The Courageous Steps Project founder, Connor Archer, has been busy gathering sponsors for the Courageous Steps 2015 fundraiser which will be held at Old Town High School on Sunday May 17th.

Our current sponsors for Courageous Steps 2015 are: Hardy Orthodontics, Mahan's Redemption Center, Sullivan's Automotive, Dave's Service Center, Darlings, and Eastern Maine Counseling & Testing Services. It comes with great pleasure of mine, that we've already passed our sponsorship money from last years fundraiser. And we have more local businesses wanting to sponsor this year's Courageous Steps. The deadline for sponsors to make it onto the t-shirt, is Monday April 27th, 2015!

"I can't believe the response of this year's Courageous Steps already! It's just amazing with the businesses that want to participate, and the people that also want to donate to this cause." said Connor Archer.

"I have reached out to many media partners from last year, including Bangor Daily News, and WABI TV5." said Archer.

Archer plans on doing his media announcements during the last week of April, into the first 2 weeks of May. Archer sees the potential for this year's fundraiser, to raise twice the amount of money for local programs that help young children with challenges.

Archer is still asking for local business owners to sponsor this year's Courageous Steps. If you are a local business owner, and you are interested in sponsoring, please contact Connor Archer at: [email protected].

If you are interested in attending this year's Courageous Steps fundraiser, please fill out the registration form provided. If you can't attend, and you want to still donate, please fill out the donation form provided. The first 100 people to register get a free t-shirt!

If you have any more questions about this year's Courageous Steps, please contact Connor Archer.
