The Courageous Steps Project is ready to go for another great year of fundraising, and educating the community about awarenesses of challenges in our society.
The Courageous Steps Project is coming off a fantastic first year of successful fundraising, media engagements, speeches, and much more.
This year, the Courageous Steps Project will be starting off by preparing for the 2nd Annual Courageous Steps held once again at Old Town High School's Victory Field. We started talking about this about 5 months ago.
Since the last time, the Courageous Steps Project has received 2 generous donations for our raffle in the Spring from the local K-Mart Store Manager in Bangor. She donated 1 $50 gift card and 2 $15 Little Caesars Gift Cards which is located right besides K-Mart.
"I am so anxious to get back to another great year of fundraising and promoting success for individuals living with disabilities" says Connor Archer, founder of the Courageous Steps Project. He will be starting his fundraising efforts later in January as he gets the final details of the fundraiser wrapped up.
"I plan on representing the Courageous Steps Project once again, by being interviewed on media across the state", says Archer, who last year was interviewed by Ernie Clark of the Bangor Daily News, for an amazing front page appearance on May 13th, 2014. He wants to expand his efforts with WLBZ2 of Bangor, ME to broadcast his story and his efforts statewide, something that Archer has been hoping to pursue for a long time now.
"We've got a long way to go" says Archer. "But I'm determined to help those in need. If it means going in front of media, and telling my story, which sometimes can be frightening, I will do it for the need in our community".
If you are interested in donating, please help the Courageous Steps Project by sending donations to Old Town High School (information on Donations page). Please write Courageous Steps in the memo if you are making out a check.
