Green House Nursery School sensory learning gardens planted earlier than normal; looking for more sensory learning projects for 2017

The Green House Nursery School’s Sensory Learning gardens are continuing to help young children with developmental challenges.

Since 2012, the Green House Nursery School has been able to use these gardens to help with feeling objects, and sensing smells. The gardens have also supplied students and staff with delicious vegetables for lunches and snacks.

According to founder & CEO Connor Archer, these are the earliest that the gardens have been inserted. “We still have some plants to get in, but we hope to take care of that within the next week or so” added Archer.

Last week, the non-profit received a $150.00 donation from Courageous Steps, for scholarships to help low income families so children in those families can still have the opportunity to be in that educational setting.

According to Archer, we are looking for more sensory learning projects as we head into the summer of 2017. If your organization is interested in starting a project with us, please email us at: info@thecourageousstepsproject.org.
