The Courageous Steps Project's founder Connor Archer, has been finalizing details for this springs 3rd annual Courageous Steps Walk-Run fundraiser at Old Town High School's Victory Field on Sunday May 22nd, 2016.
Archer will begin sending out emails to businesses at the beginning of the year. All businesses who sponsor this year's event, will have their name featured on our sponsorships page on our website, our Facebook page, and our banners which will be hung up on the day of the fundraiser. This will also happen to businesses who donate items/gift cards to our silent auction.
This year, we plan on reserving the Darlings Ice Cream for a Cause truck again. Last year, the truck generated around $100, and we are hoping for a warmer & sunny day for that as well.
The biggest change this year, will be our Step System for businesses, which will challenge businesses who have sponsored in the past, to donate more, and encourage other businesses to donate for the first time. This will be the same for the gift card donations.
All money raised from this year's event will go towards programs that help young children with challenges. We hope to serve the communities of Old Town, Bradley, Alton, Milford, Orono, and Veazie. If there becomes a need in another community, we hope to address that as well.
If you have any questions about these details for this year's walk-run event, please email Connor Archer. Archer hopes to continue to provide more details to you, as they become available.
