A Kindergarten class at the GH Jewett School recently had a special guest come into their classroom last Friday.
The Courageous Steps Project’s founder & CEO Connor Archer, recently awarded Christian Koelbl, a kindergarten teacher at the GH Jewett School, a $200 donation to enhance sensory learning opportunities in his classroom.
Koelbl’s donation was made possible by The Courageous Steps Project’s Wishlist Initiative, which aims to support classroom teachers in Maine, and smaller organizations such as Unified Basketball programs.
He received a donation from the Wishlist Initiative last August, and was able to purchase many sensory items such as fidgets, seating, and weighted vests for his classroom.
The Courageous Steps Project, is a not-for-profit organization that helps children and young adults with developmental challenges in Hancock, Penobscot, and Waldo counties.
