$1,000 grant helps Brewer School Department Special Education purchase social thinking curriculum materials, therapy instructional supplies, and assistive technology
The Brewer School Department's Special Education program received a Charitable Giving grant back in December of 2016 for $1,000.00 from The Courageous Steps Project.
Since then, the program has been able to put the grant into good use purchasing social thinking curriculum materials and supplies, occupational therapy instructional supplies such as fine motor strengthening materials (therapuddy), grips and writing aids, and assistive technology to facilitate student communication.
“We cannot thank The Courageous Steps Project enough for their generosity” said Angela Moore, special education director of the Brewer School Department in an email sent to our founder & CEO Connor Archer on Friday.
“It is a pleasure to be able to support a program that strives to help children with developmental challenges” said Archer in a brief statement.
This grant was made possible through the Courageous Steps Project’s Charitable Giving initiative, which helps bigger organizations, or smaller organizations with bigger intentions to improve their classroom. To apply for a grant, please visit the Charitable Giving section of our website.
