Speaking Engagements
The Courageous Steps Project’s Step Forward program is devoted to helping children and young adults with developmental challenges. Through our mission and vision statement, we are committed to raising awareness of developmental challenges, and channeling resources to programs that help these individuals in school and life.
Through our speaking engagements, our founder & CEO Connor Archer works to engage the audience by providing personal experiences that impact adults and children in our society.
As we are transitioning into a 501(c)3 organization, speaking engagements will become a common source of funds that will continue to help more programs that help children and young adults with developmental challenges. A breakdown of our different kinds of speaking engagements & events are listed below.
Round-Table presentations (Support Groups)
These smaller settings allow for children and adults to learn about the developmental challenges that exist in our society today. Round-Table presentations are typically laid back and aimed to connect to the children and adults in that setting.
Time Frame: 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours
Price: $100 (depending on the location) (including gas)
‘One Word’ Challenge OFFICIAL challenge event (Virtual Edition)
Description: These events are typically for schools who are interested in pursuing a ‘One Word’ Challenge video production. These events are typically 30 to 40 minutes long (sometimes depending on the school) and include an agenda of talking about the ‘One Word’ Challenge, examples of past ‘One Word’ Challenge productions, and the official challenge of the school
Time Frame: 30 to 40 minutes

Virtual Presentations/Discussions
Description: This type of presentation is great for those organizations that are harder to accommodate for the founder & CEO. This format follows the similar format to in-person presentations.
Time Frame: 45 minutes to 1 hour Price: $75.00 (In Maine)

Panel Discussions
Description: Grab your family & friends, and join founder & CEO Connor Archer and other individuals with developmental challenges, to share their stories. This format allows people in attendance to ask questions to all panelists about their challenges.
Time Frame: 45 minutes to 1 hour
Price: $250.00 (plus gas if longer than 30 miles)
‘One Word’ Challenge OFFICIAL challenge event
Description: These events are typically for schools who are interested in pursuing a ‘One Word’ Challenge video production. These events are typically 30 to 40 minutes long (sometimes more depending on the school) and include an agenda of talking about the ‘One Word’ Challenge, examples of past ‘One Word’ Challenge productions, and the official challenge of the school.
Time Frame: 45 minutes to 1 hour
Price: $100.00 (including gas)
School-Wide Speaker Presentations
School-wide speaker presentations include our founder & CEO Connor Archer, who shares his story as an individual living with Autism. Connor eventually shifts to Courageous Steps, explaining about the endeavors and showing some visuals that have been done, including the original ‘One Word’ Challenge production.
Time Frame: 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours
Price: $250-$300 (including gas)

Presentations
Staff presentations are typically for staff members, but can also extend to students at those schools. These presentations are conducted by founder & CEO Connor Archer, and a special guest at times.
Connor will share his story as an individual with Autism eventually switching over to sharing information about The Courageous Steps Project.
Time Frame: 60 to 90 minutes
Price: $300-$350 (depending on distance needed to travel)

Workshops
Workshops include our founder & CEO Connor Archer. These workshops are two to three hours long. These workshops include founder & CEO Connor Archer, sharing his story and his success on founding The Courageous Steps Project. Connor will conduct activities with a group of staff that help them understand the importance of inclusive learning, and how everyone is able to provide something unique.
Time Frame: Two to Three hours
Price: $400-$500 (depending on distance needed to travel)
*$20 extra charge per 50 miles*

All rates are negotiable with The Courageous Steps Project, to accommodate certain organizations that may not be able to pay the whole total of those funds.
