The Courageous Steps Project held it’s 4th annual back-to-school drive on Wednesday August 2nd at Governor’s Restaurant in Ellsworth from 9:00am to 2:30pm. The Old Town location however stayed open until 6:00pm.
Notebooks, backpacks, pencil boxes, and crayons, are just some of the items donated today. Several monetary donations were made as well.
“We had a pretty successful day overall” said founder & CEO Connor Archer. “Our board members and committee members stepped up today to make sure everything was in great shape” added Archer.
Archer continues on saying that there will be changes to next year’s drive, to improve on the collection of supplies in certain regions of Maine.
You can still donate your supplies at many locations throughout the Bangor area, and at the Wireless Zone in Ellsworth. To view a full list of drop off locations, and monetary donation locations, please visit the back-to-school drive section of our website!
